  1. You have access to a text editor on the platform you'll be working such as:
    1. Notepad, MS Word, WordPerfect on Windows
    2. VI, Emacs, Pico on Unix
    3. SimpleText, MS Word, WordPerfect on Macs

  2. You know how to operate that text editor

  3. Have access to a web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer

  4. None of the following
    1. Directory hierarchies,
    2. Moving around in,
    3. Accessing files from
    send the slightest chill of fear up your spinal column.

  5. You WILL do the exercises.

  6. You know nada, nothing, njente, about HTML.

  7. You are here because you want to learn HTML, not challenge it.
