Lozinski's Calendar!

Unpacking the Images

  1. Copy the archive to the images directory on your web server.

  2. To unpack:

    the Unix archive:
    1. Gunzip the file. Do this by typing:
      gunzip Lozinski_Calendar_Images.tar.gz
    2. Untar the tar file. This can be done by typing:
      tar -xvf Lozinski_Calendar_Images.tar
    3. Verify that everything is extracted.

    the Windows archive:
    1. Double-click on the archive or run "WinZip".
    2. From "WinZip" locate the "Lozinski_Calendar_Images.zip" archive on your system and choose the "Extract" option.
    3. Extract the archive to the desired location.
    4. Verify that everything is extracted.

When everything is extracted, you should have an "images" directory with the following contents:

  1. The following gif files:
    add.gifcal.gifcal_add.gif
    cal_copy.gifcal_delete.gifcal_edit.gif
    cal_feedback.gifcal_preview.gifcal_save.gif
    cal_stats.gifcal_support.gifcal_word.gif
    delete.gifedit.gifleft_arrow.gif
    move.gifprinter.gifreset.gif
    right_arrow.gifsave.gifspacer.gif
    trash.gif

  2. A "months1", "months2", and "months3" directory with the following contents in each:

    April.gifAugust.gifDecember.gif
    February.gifJanuary.gifJuly.gif
    June.gifMarch.gifMay.gif
    November.gifOctober.gifSeptember.gif
    next_month.gifprev_month.gif

Note that even though they are called the same thing in each directory, each image is different! That is, each directory has a different "theme". So no, I didn't send you duplicate copies of the same files. You can use these images for your calendar, or provide your own. Read the documentation when providing your own images and/or changing languages.

  3. An "icons" directory with the following contents:

    Feedback.gifHappy.gifHeart.gif
    Note.gifRose.gifWarning.gif

If you think any cool icons you think would make a great addition to the calendar, send me some feedback and let me know! :)
